State Senator Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) has earned a 100% voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Illinois’ leading small business advocacy organization, for his consistent support of policies that help small businesses grow and succeed.
“Having run a small business and served patients in Southern Illinois for decades, I understand first-hand the pressure that regulations, mandates, and rising costs place on local employers,” said Senator Jacobs. “Our small businesses are often family-run and doing everything they can to survive. I’m proud to have earned a 100 percent voting record from the NFIB, and I’ll continue supporting policies that give Illinois job creators a fair chance to grow.”
Because Senator Jacobs was recently appointed to the Senate, his voting record reflects his service in the Illinois House of Representatives, where he was one of 23 state representatives to receive a perfect NFIB voting record. Jacobs supported legislation to reduce regulations on employers, oppose costly mandates, protect businesses from expanded legal liability, lower compliance burdens, fight higher energy and health insurance costs, and strengthen workforce development opportunities for Illinois job creators.
